How we do things

A home,
not a hotel

Villa Blotto is a real Paxiot family house, not a managed luxury villa. We take care of the things that matter, then leave you to enjoy the place in your own way — it suits independent travellers who would rather have the best view on the island than a turndown service.

What you’ll find

  • Spotless on arrival

The house is professionally cleaned and made up before you arrive.

  • Linen & towels provided

Fresh bed linen and towels, with a change on longer stays.

  • A kitchen made for cooking

Everything you need for long lunches and barbecues on the terrace.

  • Us, when you need us

A WhatsApp message away for local tips or anything in the house.

What you won’t

  • Daily housekeeping or towel changes

We'd rather keep the price fair and leave you in peace.

  • Concierge, butler or turndown

No staff on site — the house is yours for the week.

  • Hotel-style formality

Bare feet, salt water and slow mornings are very much encouraged.

  • Hidden extras

The price you see is the price you pay — no service fees.

If you want room service, we’re probably not for you. If you want your own space above the most beautiful bay on Paxos, you’ll feel at home here.

How do I get to Paxos?

Fly to Corfu, then take a boat across: fast boats take about an hour and the slower car ferry around two hours. Most boats arrive in Gaios, the island's main harbour, about 25 minutes' drive from Lakka; a few summer services stop in Lakka itself.

Corfu to Paxos ferry guide

Do we need a car?

Not to enjoy Lakka — the beach, the village and the waterfront tavernas are a short walk down the hill. To explore the rest of the island, most guests hire a small car or scooter on Paxos, which is simpler and cheaper than bringing one over from Corfu. There is free parking at the villa.

Is the pool heated?

No — the pool isn't heated, but the Ionian sun warms it nicely from June to September. Early and late in the season it's refreshing rather than warm.

What is the cancellation policy?

Full refund up to 60 days before arrival, 50% up to 30 days, and non-refundable after that. Nothing is charged until we accept your request.
